Army marquees are genuinely vintage, some more so than others!
These tents are all 19’6 wide and are varying ages and colours from dark khaki green to soft faded moss colour and pale greens and browns. Most army tents are interchangeable so sections can be joined together to make longer or shorter tents.
Each section of these marquees is 9′ wide. So the smallest tent would be two end sections joined together to make a square tent 19’6 x 18′ with one central pole.
All these original canvas tents have natural sisal ropes and original rustic wooden poles and wooden dollies for the tops of both side and main poles. They are very rustic with original frayed hessian skirts and all the wear and tear to be expected after decades of use.

Our huge furniture collection merits its own website!
We specialise in genuine old plank top trestle tables and vintage wooden chairs that beautifully compliment the traditional canvas marquees. We have an ever expanding range of extras such as handmade cushions and bunting, bars, oak barrels, easels and boards, crooks and lanterns – the list goes on. We also provide all the standard extras such as dance floors, lights, catering tents, walkways etc.
THE STORY BEHIND VINTAGE MARQUEES
Our company was formed 14 years ago and started with borrowing a small scout tent for a family party. Nearly a decade and a half later we now have over 50 marquees and canvas structures of every size and shape. Many we have bought from churches, guide and scout groups, others we have designed and had made specifically for Vintage Marquees.
Unlike other marquee companies, each of our marquees is a unique stand alone structure with its own character and quirks!
We have amassed a warehouse of rustic extras for hire with the marquees, including over 200 vintage plank top tables and over 500 wooden folding chairs. Our stock extends to fire pits, handmade bunting (which we also make to order), festoon and fairy lights, deckchairs, benches and barrels, the list goes on.
Our lovely team have worked together for years now and (on a good day!) are like a well oiled machine! We love our work as each set up and venue is always different and interesting and we are lucky to constantly be meeting and working with new and interesting people.
